Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is a performer, singer actor, actress and musician. She primarily works as a performer and music composer for Tamil as well as Malayalam-language movies. Her acting debut was with the Tamil movie Pachaikili Muthucharam and also made her Malayalam debut with Annayum raolum. Andrea Jeremiah was born in an Anglo-Indian family living in the Arakkonam region of In Tamil Nadu.Andrea's father, a lawyer with the Madras High Court. Her younger sister is who works in Leuven Belgium as an assistant to research. Jeremiah has a family near Chennai and was a student at National Public School before graduating from Women's Christian College. Andrea began studying classical piano around the age of eight. She was a big geek and dreamed of becoming psychiatrist. She joined The Jackson Five style troupe Young Stars when she was 10. This ensemble shaped the foundation for her music and singing career. While at college, she was also performing as a theatre artist. She was also in various stage plays arranged through The Madras Players. Andrea was also an EVAM Student Senate President at Women's Christian College. Andrea began her acting career through Girish Karnad's Nagamandala. In 2006, she starred in a brand new advertisement for Leo along with actor Shiva. She also starred in a television show that was aired on Podhigai. She has performed on stage in India. She had a small role in the Kanda Mudhal final (2005). Gautham Menon wanted Andrea to perform the role of a leading character after she sang in Vettaiyaadu's Vettaiyaadu. This film was a film adaptation of James Siegel's novel Derailed, with Andrea as Kalyani who is a housewife whose husband gets involved in an affair, which leads to her being forced to confess. Andrea took on the role of Kalyani in the wake of Simran Shobana, Tabu and other actresses were invited to audition for the role. It was released early in 2010. It was first released as part of Venkat's Mankatha that was released in 2011. The film featured a variety of actors. Annayum Rasoolum, a romantic film by Rajeev ravi that was released in 2013, marked her Malayalam debut.
