
Thomas William Selleck is an American actor from America. His most recognizable character was Thomas Magnum, a private investigator in Magnum, P.I. (1980-1988) in which he was nominated five times for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead actor in the Drama Series. He was awarded the award in 1985. Since 2010, Selleck has co-starred in the role of New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan in the series Blue Bloods. Since 2005, he has been playing Jesse Stone, a troubled police chief from a small town in New York City. The actor has also played in nine television films that are based on Robert B. Parker novels.
