Tom Selleck-2Thomas William Selleck is an American actor from America. His most recognizable character was Thomas Magnum, a private investigator in Magnum, P.I. (1980-1988) in which he was nominated five times for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead actor in the Drama Series. He was awarded the award in 1985. Since 2010, Selleck has co-starred in the role of New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan in the series Blue Bloods. Since 2005, he has been playing Jesse Stone, a troubled police chief from a small town in New York City. The actor has also played in nine television films that are based on Robert B. Parker novels. Selleck has also played the part of Peter Mitchell, a bachelor architect, in Three Men and a Baby (1987) as well as Three Men and a Little Lady (90). Since Magnum, P.I., his appearances have included more than 50 roles on TV and in film, including the films Quigley Down Under, Mr. Lassiter, baseball. He appeared in recurring television roles as Monica Geller's love-interest Dr. Richard Burke on Friends and also as Lance White, the likeable and naive partner on The Rockford Files, and as the casino's owner A.J.
